You might be interested to know what House Democrats have in mind if they get a majority.

Unable to accept having lost both the 2000 and the 2004 elections fair and square, the hate-driven Demogog- er, Democrats will not be satisfied to wait out the last two years of a lame-duck administration and plan for 2008. Oh, no.

They're going for impeachment. One last chance with themselves as the jury to win the battle they lost twice in a row with the American people in that role.

When Bill Clinton was impeached (properly, in my opinion; lying under oath, no matter what the subject, is not the light matter the polls at the time showed the American people to believe it to be), I had a feeling this was coming- that every succeeding president, in his or her turn, would also be impeached, should the opposite party gain control of the House. Given the veritable deluge of spleen and personal hatred for George W. Bush that has gushed from the Democrats over the past six years (and the utter paucity of ideas and proposals), who could have doubted that if the Democrats had the votes, they'd opt for revenge?

Not an especially healthy agenda for the country, however. If, by some miracle, Hillary wins in 2008, and the Republicans (as I suspect they will) retake the House in 2010, can anybody have any doubt that Hillary is as certain to be impeached as the Republicans are to threaten to fillibuster her first, hyper-liberal Supreme Court nominee?
